I would not recommend someone taking a Hot Wheel Toy to them for repair!
I took my 4X4 in for a small transmission leak. They said I had a cracked transfer case and they could replace it with a used one. I paid $755 for a used part and the labor. I picked it up 4 days later and parked it in my driveway. That night I had a "giant" puddle of fluid in my drive way. I called them and they said to drive it easy back in to them. I did this and they called me on that Monday to tell me to come get the truck that they had broken "some kind of seal "and it was now fixed. I picked my truck up at closing time. On the way home the transmission started slipping. I called them and they said bring it back in the next day. I told them I just wanted a refund and they said they cant to that until they know what was wrong with it. So I agreed to take it back in. I went to drive it back in the next morning and it would not move. I called them and told them this and they said check the transmission fluid. I did and it was very low. So I put a gallon in it and it filled it. I still could not get the truck to move and called them to have it towed in. That same day they call me to tell me my transmission is burned up and I need a new one. I said it was their fault for not filling up the transmission after working on it. They said it was not their fault it didn't have transmission fluid. so I asked them for their business insurance information to so I could file a claim, they refused to give me their insurance information and then finally admitted they had none and I would have to just sue them! The owner was very rude and using vulgar language at me and refusing to take responsibility for their faulty work telling me they were out too much money on it as it was and it is not their responsibility to make sure the transmission had fluid in it. They worked on it! How is that not their responsibility? I had to go tow my truck "out" of the mechanics shop! ONE STAR is to high a rating for this business!
Great people & do excellent work
The first time I brought the vehicle in, which had a pinion seal that was leaking gear oil, I asked them to replace the seal. They said I needed a new front differential. I said sure, and for $750 they put in a new one. They never replaced the pinion seal. About 40 miles later, after picking the vehicle up, the pinion seal began to spew gear oil onto the exhaust, causing the vehicle to smoke as the differential was drained of oil. The owners agreed to tow the vehicle back after receiving crystal clear instructions to replace the pinion seal, that it was still leaking. A week later they had replaced the differential a second time. But not the pinion seal. Again, after driving 40 miles, the vehicle began to leak gear oil from the seal. I called and told them what was up. They refused to tow the vehicle back a second time, saying it was "not their responsibility" and that they had "lost enough money on it already" (though they did offer to fix it if I brought it back in after driving 40 more miles on a leaking pinion seal. Heh.) What a joke, but I'm not laughing. So I'm now taking the vehicle to a professional who knows what they're doing, will not dive blindly into a vehicle before talking with the owner about the symptoms and will have the intestinal fortitude to stand by their work. I hope my $750 mistake with these clowns can spare someone the headache of bringing even a lawnmower to these people. Good luck.
